Competition has never been stronger in the Pakistan fashion industry as it is now and hats off to the ones who are gathering acclaim for themselves. Certainly this lady can not be ignored when ‘gathering acclaims’ is concerned.
Rabia Butt
came and conquered and unquestionably has the potential to be one of Pakistan's next top models.
With a Lux Stlye Award for the best new emerging talent, one can only say that Rabia is here to stay and excel. She is a simple person who loves to keep loose curls and tries to dress up in casual and comfortable outfits.
Rabia has walked down the ramp for many top designer and been a part of many international fashion shows. Besides modeling, Rabia is a very good dancer and loves to dance to keep her self in shape. With rising demand and popularity at such a young age, Rabia is one of the most wanted models of Pakistan fashion industry who has already swept many off their feet.
The Vixen
A few months ago, Pakistani-Norwegian stylist Amar Faiz was in the country to do a style shoot for an issue of the Norwegian magazine, Vixen, with three of the country's most prominent models: Vaneeza Ahmed, Rabia Butt and Fayeza Ansari.
The magazine's issue - which has just been published in Norway - features a rather remarkable shot of Rabia of the cover and an eight-page spread inside featuring our very own models.
The issue has been written up by a Norwegian newspaper as well, with the editor, Marianne Jetemgard saying, "It is nonsense that the magazine covers with dark models do not sell. It is from some old sales surveys from the nineties that defined clearly what a magazine should look to sell. The result is that you get 20 exactly same magazines on store shelves, and I think today's fashion conscious women are thinking more than just selecting what they have seen before. As for the idea behind the shoot, I got the idea over a coffee with our regular stylist Amar Faiz when he was going to Pakistan this summer to shoot a fashion show. And as always I said that it is cover potential among the images that fit our magazine concept and our audience."
